Meet the author
I first tried to write a novel in my teenage years but the story came to an abrupt halt at the first sentence of Chapter Two. I simply didn’t know enough about the world to write that story.
So, I spent the next few decades exploring, discovering, and learning about this wonderful and crazy world.
I’ve climbed volcanoes, hiked mountains, swam in bioluminescence at night. I made a home in Italy, became a mum there, mastered the language, immersed myself in the culture, and even won a national karate championship.
Then I moved to the US where I picked back up my childhood dream and in 2021 that dream came true when From Ashes to Song was published!
It's been a joyride ever since. From Ashes to Song was nominated for the WCoNA Book of the Year. The Things We’ll Never Have won an Award of Excellence from the Historical Fiction Company and was a finalist for the 2024 Eric Hoffer Book Award.
